Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the 23-year-old SSC Napoli striker under contract until 2027, was the target of a concrete offer from Paris Saint-Germain during the 2024 summer mercato, but his club did not open the door despite pressure from his entourage. Rumors of a Parisian attempt this winter are back. Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio confirms the relaunch.
“In Naples, there is an opening for the January sale of Kvaratskhelia. There are contacts with PSG, but the deal will only be done on the Italians’ terms.”
It’s been a soap opera of the 2024 summer mercato, and it could still be an animated one this winter. It makes sense, since PSG may not have let go of one of its priorities from a few months ago. As Kvaratskhelia is still not extending his contract with Napoli, a sale is not impossible.
Beware, however, there’s nothing done about it either. It’s easy to think that all this fuss is for a good reason, except that agreement on a transfer is far from a foregone conclusion. We’ll have to wait and see;
