Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the 23-year-old SSC Napoli striker under contract until 2027, had been the target of a concrete offer from Paris Saint-Germain during the 2024 summer mercato, but his club had not opened the door despite pressure from his entourage. This winter, PSG managed to reach an agreement worth around 80 million including bonuses. The Georgian has arrived in Paris to finalize his transfer. He underwent his medical this Friday morning, reports L’Equipe.
“Napoli winger Khvitcha Kvaratskhelia is in Paris and undergoing his medical with PSG this Friday morning. Nothing has been signed yet, but the club has had an agreement in principle for the Georgian’s transfer since Monday.”
After a rather too hasty announcement from Italy, this time there’s no doubt: Kvaratkshelia is in Paris and launching his medial visit. This means he’ll be signing very soon, unless something goes wrong in the final stage. That’s rare, and would be a terribly unpleasant surprise.
It’s time to get excited, and look forward to the official communication and the Georgian’s first match for PSG. Even if it will probably take some getting used to.
