Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the 23-year-old SSC Napoli striker under contract until 2027, was the target of a concrete offer from Paris Saint-Germain during the 2024 summer mercato, but his club didn’t open the door despite pressure from his entourage. There is a new Parisian attempt this winter. Journalist Florian Plettenberg reported on Friday that PSG are also targeting Victor Osimhen, the 26-year-old striker on loan from Napoli to Galatasaray.
“Paris Saint-Germain have two preferred transfer targets: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and/or Victor Osimhen. PSG are already pushing to sign Kvaratskhelia this winter, confirmed. Napoli are asking for 80 million euros, as Sky Italia reports. Negotiations are ongoing.”
As for Kvaratskhelia, numerous media outlets have already confirmed that discussions are underway with a real hopeful on the Parisian side. We can therefore assume that something is underway, but we’ll have to wait and see if an agreement can be reached. Let’s remain cautious for the time being.
All the more so for Osimhen, a rumour that has been circulating around PSG for some months now, but which has not been confirmed. Some even claim that Paris has no intention of taking a chance, not least because the Parisian coach is not really convinced.
Here, the rumor is tempting with a duo who shone at Napoli to win a Serie A title. But we’ve also seen that it’s not a magic solution, and Paris already has attacking weapons. Kvaratskhelia is a natural in Luis Enrique’s style, Osimhen much less so.
