Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, SSC Napoli’s 23-year-old striker under contract until 2027, was the target of a concrete offer from Paris Saint-Germain during the 2024 summer mercato, but his club didn’t open the door despite pressure from his entourage. La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that PSG have not forgotten him in their recruitment drive.
Nothing impossible, since PSG didn’t make an offer last summer for nothing. The player still has the same profile and immense potential. And Paris hasn’t particularly beefed up its attack since that attempt. It would therefore make sense for the club to try again.
Especially as Kvaratskhelia has still not extended his contract with Napoli, who have closed the door on a transfer in the hope of a new deal. Perhaps negotiations could be opened.
Except that it’s far from a sure thing. Neapolitan management know how to be stubborn, and they still have time. We therefore remain cautious until there is a concrete move in PSG’s favor.
