Senny Mayulu, the 18-year-old midfielder/attacker trained at Paris Saint-Germain, signed his first professional contract in May 2024, running until 2027. An important step, but one that does not guarantee a place in the professional team. He was able to play, but not much. The idea of a loan for the rest of the season has been mooted. PSG Inside Actus reports this Sunday that there are several suitors.
A departure only in case of recruitment?
“Several European and French clubs have expressed an interest in loaning Mayulu out. These include FC Nantes and Toulouse FC in Ligue 1, as well as Lazio Rome in Serie A and Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
PSG, for their part, are reluctant to part with their young talent on a temporary basis. The decision largely depends on movements in the transfer market. If the Parisian club manages to sign a player in the same position as Mayulu, the management could then consider loaning him out without hesitation.”
Nothing impossible, given Mayulu’s excellent qualities, which suggest he has a very interesting future ahead of him. It would be logical for PSG not to want to sell him, in order to watch him grow and perhaps gradually find a place for himself.
However, given the competition and the demands of this squad, he has little playing time at the moment. Perhaps a loan could be a good solution, with clubs undoubtedly interested. Although we’re wary of the names put forward, as the mercato is always difficult. It’s difficult to know just how concrete the interest is.
Also, a loan is not a magic solution for playing and progressing. Training with PSG is also an option, with the desire to assert himself in order to gain playing time. Any path is possible, but you have to be sure of what’s best. It also depends on how the player feels.
