At the end of the year, there are often the standard teams for the first half of the current season, as well as those for the calendar year. Via its website, L’Equipe allowed fans to choose their Ligue 1 eleven for 2024. The list includes 6 Paris Saint-Germain players. They are Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, Bradley Barcola and Kylian Mbappé.
No doubt there will be disagreements, as is always the case with such a selection. But there is no great apparent inconsistency. The presence of Leny Yoro and Mbappé is a little “odd”, since they are no longer there. But their performances from January to June make them stand out from the rest of the year.
PSG’s large presence is also rather logical, given that they won the title in style and now have a 10-point lead. It’s interesting to see that Marquinhos is present, despite being much criticized by some. Perhaps his qualities are still somewhat present after all.
Interestingly, Chevalier, Zeghrova, Yoro and David are players who have often been mentioned as solutions to strengthen PSG’s squad. Less so for Lees-Melou, who could nevertheless be an option. But there’s nothing concrete about any transfer. Yoro has left for Manchester United, despite an attempt.
