Yoram Zague, a 19-year-old right-back on a professional contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2027, made a small place for himself in the first team at the start of the season with a few appearances, but then “disappeared” a little. It’s enough to make you wonder whether he should leave. According to journalist Abdellah Boulma, Montpellier is interested. He adds (unsurprisingly) that Ibrahim Mbaye (17-year-old striker) is in the staff’s plans.
“Montpellier are keeping a close eye on Yoram Zague (19). The PSG full-back is one of the profiles targeted to strengthen the defense this summer #MHSC
Ibrahim Mbaye (17) remains in PSG’s plans. The staff are satisfied with his development and have no plans to leave…”
Nothing is impossible, as Montpellier will need to strengthen its squad following its descent into Ligue 2, and will have to make do with a rather limited budget. Coach Zoumana Camara, a former PSG U19s coach, knows Zague well and could be a point of contact to facilitate discussions.
We’re remaining cautious, as nothing has been decided yet. It’s just a rumour. Montpellier, PSG and the Parisian Titi may have other ideas. So let’s wait and see.
As for Mbaye, he’s had some game time recently and we can assume that the Titi will still have room to grow. Even if he has to work hard and be patient in this top-flight squad. A loan does not seem totally impossible.
