Renato Marin, the 18-year-old goalkeeper who is at the end of his contract at AS Roma, has been rumoured to be close to signing for Paris Saint-Germain, with a view to joining the Parisian squad this summer. Journalist Venê Casagrande now claims that PSG were able to overtake Olympique de Marseille to secure the signing, which is now a foregone conclusion.
“Renato Marin a préféré le PSG face à l’intérêt de Marseille, qui était également en négociation avec ses agents !
Le gardien voulait uniquement le PSG
Le gardien a signé un pré-contrat de 5 ans avec le club de la capitale. Il arrive en juillet

We remain cautious, as the signing is not yet official, so we could still be in for a surprise. We’re even more wary about the details, including the possible competition with Olympique de Marseille. But there was no reason to bring it up just for the sake of it, so maybe it’s true.
In any case, everyone agrees that Renato Marin is on his way to Paris, and that it’s likely to happen. It remains to be seen exactly what the plan is for the keeper. Perhaps there will be a loan deal to get some game time. There are plenty of professional goalkeepers at the moment, but a lot can happen between now and the summer.
