Maxim De Cuyper, the 23-year-old left-back from Belgium and Club Brugge, has been a target for Paris Saint-Germain this summer, with a contract extension in August until 2028. PSG Inside Actus reports on Tuesday that Paris is preparing to make a move, while the competition looks set to be fierce.
“Discussions between PSG and Club Brugge should begin shortly. Club Brugge, aware of the value of their player, could be open to a sale if an interesting offer is presented. However, PSG will have to face competition from other European clubs also interested in the young Belgian talent.
A solid financial offer and an attractive sporting project will be essential to convince De Cuyper to join the French capital.
Other interested clubs:
– Wolfsburg.
– Betis Séville.
– Fenerbahçe.
– Liverpool.
– Arsenal.
– Ajax.
– OM.
– Milan.”
We remain cautious, of course, as this is not a concrete confirmation. There may be other avenues open to both parties, not least a player who looks set to be in great demand.
The battle looks set to be fierce, and PSG may well have something to say about it, except that there’s nothing to say they could be particular favourites.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens with Cuyper. All we can say is that he’ll be getting even closer to the European top.
