Maxim De Cuyper, 24-year-old left-back for Belgium and Club Brugge, has been a Paris Saint-Germain target for the summer mercato, despite having extended his contract in August until 2028. PSG Inside Actus reports on Tuesday that the player will have to wait until at least this summer.
“FC Brugge refuses to sell De Cuyper for this winter but opens the door for the summer mercato.”
Mind you, this is not an official announcement, so it’s not a sure thing. Nevertheless, there have been no signs of a possible transfer this winter and it would be a surprise to see the situation suddenly unblocked. De Cuyper’s contract wasn’t extended for nothing, and Parisian interest isn’t even certain.
This avenue could move forward this summer, as well as being put aside for other priorities. PSG, Brugge and the full-back could well have other plans.
