Mohamed Salah, the 32-year-old Egyptian striker whose contract with Liverpool expires next June, has been rumoured to be in the sights of Paris Saint-Germain. At the beginning of the week, there was even talk of discussions taking place, before denials were issued. The rumour has been back for a few days now, and PSG Inside Actus reports on Tuesday that a meeting has been scheduled.
“Next week, a meeting of the utmost importance is scheduled between the management of Paris Saint-Germain and Mohamed Salah’s representatives. According to sources close to the matter, the Parisian club would be prepared to do anything to attract the Egyptian striker as early as the next summer mercato.
At this meeting, PSG are expected to offer Salah a three-year contract, binding him to the club until 2028.
Unfortunately, Paris Saint-Germain are not the only ones interested in Salah, with wealthy clubs in Saudi Arabia offering him a very substantial salary, and Liverpool still hoping to extend his contract.”
Beware, there is still not the slightest certainty even though nothing has been done. The rumors are piling up without the slightest official confirmation. Let’s wait and see.
PSG could well have something to say about this burning Salah issue, but it wouldn’t be surprising either if they had other leads and the Egyptian was thinking about something else. Let’s hope things become clearer soon. Possibly with a big move by the capital club.
