Having arrived from Inter Milan in the summer of 2023, 29-year-old defender Milan Skriniar has yet to find his place at Paris Saint-Germain. His contract expires in June 2028, but already a departure seems likely as the Slovak international is no longer playing. This Friday, RMC Sport reports that discussions are underway with Galatasaray, and that the matter could become clearer fairly quickly.
“Skriniar has still not privately decided which club he would like to join.
“According to our information, in recent hours Galatasaray have returned to the charge to secure the services of Milan Skriniar. A loan deal is being considered, but it remains to be seen whether this solution will be accepted by both parties.
The player’s entourage remains cautious, while discussions are still underway with other clubs in England and Italy. This dossier is likely to accelerate in the coming days. Milan Skriniar has still not privately decided which club he would like to join.”
We remain cautious, as there is still nothing concrete to report. Even though Galatasaray’s interest has been confirmed by several media outlets, which leads us to hope that something is in the pipeline. But that’s no guarantee, even less so of a deal.
The mercato is never simple, there are many parameters. In this case, we’re still waiting to find out what Skriniar wants and who is really ready to reach an agreement with him and PSG without expecting an effort that would be unreasonable.
Perhaps it will happen quickly, as happens in soccer, especially when a player is so clearly out of the coach’s plans. But it’s not a foregone conclusion, and it could still take a long time.
