Jhon Duran, Aston Villa’s 21-year-old Colombian striker (contract runs until 2030), has been mentioned as a target for Paris Saint-Germain this summer. TalkSport claims this Monday that the interest is there and that the English club has a price to open the door.
“The buzz around the 21-year-old has sparked interest from Paris Saint-Germain, according to talkSPORT. Aston Villa could be tempted to part with Duran for £60 million”.
Around 72 million euros, that’s the sum that would have to be spent in order to recruit the young Colombian talent. We remain cautious, as there’s nothing official and the price can move quickly depending on rumours, as well as actual negotiations.
But it’s clear that a certain amount of money would be needed to recruit a striker who’s in good form in the Premier League. Does PSG really want to make this financial effort for Duran? Is Duran tempted by the project? There are a number of major uncertainties in this dossier.
Let’s wait and see if there’s a minimum of concretization. But it’s not impossible that PSG will take a chance.
