Paris Saint-Germain won 1-4 against Montpellier this Saturday at the Stade de la Mosson as part of the 33rd day of Ligue 1 2024-2025. Speaking to PSG TV, Luis Enrique, the Parisian team’s coach, reflected on the win.
Enrique “stay focused, as always with the Paris Saint-Germain jersey.”
“I’m very satisfied. I think we did a good job. We played with a lot of young players, and we played a serious match. That’s the best way to prepare for the next matches. It’s not easy playing away from home.
It wasn’t easy either, because the team wasn’t playing anything important any more. But we had to stay focused, as always with the Paris Saint-Germain jersey. I’m happy, we need to rest for a few days before preparing for the final league match next week.”
A fine victory for PSG, who only three days ago qualified for the Champions League final. Playing away from home is never easy, especially at the end of the season when the accumulation of fatigue is very important. The young Titi players in the starting line-up on Saturday did an excellent job, and that’s the main thing to remember.
Even if PSG have nothing left to play for in this championship, it’s very important to finish on a positive note. The youngsters coming through the youth academy, who are lucky enough to get some playing time, also know that now is the time to make their mark. They know that this end of the championship could enable them to fit into the coach’s plans for next season, and this is obviously a source of motivation.
