On Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain issued an official statement to announce the signing of defender Yanis Bastaraud (17) and midfielder Abdou Fanné Dramé (17) on trainee contracts until 2027.
“Paris Saint-Germain is pleased to announce the signing of trainee contracts for defender Yanis Bastaraud and midfielder Abdou Fanné Dramé. The two promising young players are extending their adventure with the Rouge et Bleu until June 2027.”
This is good news, as it means that PSG believes in these two youngsters and that they are willing to make a long-term commitment to the club. This is certainly in keeping with everyone’s hopes of seeing them gradually establish themselves as professionals. Even if it’s far from a foregone conclusion, there’s still a lot of work to be done and a lot of steps to be taken.
