While rumors are already circulating, particularly around Paris Saint-Germain, the 2026 summer transfer window doesn’t start immediately. However, we now know the precise dates. The Professional Football League (LFP) announced the dates for the 2026-2027 transfer windows (summer and winter) this Thursday.
The Board of Directors has decided on the transfer window dates for the 2026/2027 season.
The summer transfer window will open on Monday, June 15, 2026, and close on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 7:59 PM.
The winter transfer window will open on Friday, January 1, 2027, and close on Monday, February 1, 2027, at 7:59 PM.
The dates are now set, allowing us to plan ahead and know when official announcements might take place. It’s important to keep in mind that discussions can take place beforehand. This is often the case for a large number of transfers. This summer, some deals could be finalized very quickly to avoid any uncertainty during the World Cup. Otherwise, some will have to wait until the end of the tournament.
We’re pleased to note that the transfer window will now close at 8 p.m., which means no one will have to stay up too late waiting for a potential surprise.
