This Saturday, as part of the 28th day of Ligue 1 2024-2025, Paris Saint-Germain faced Angers at the Parc des Princes. After a match in which the Rouge et Bleu quietly dominated, they won 1-0 (video highlights PSG/Angers). Here are our scores for the Parisians, following this success which validates their title as French champions.
Goalkeeper –
Gianluigi Donnarumma (5) – It’s hard to rate a match with so little to do. He didn’t miss when called upon, but that’s to be expected given how quiet it was.
Defenders –
Achraf Hakimi (5.5) – A quiet match for the Moroccan. Almost too much, we’d have liked to see him break through a little more to create danger.
Marquinhos (6) – Quiet, serene and clean in the rebound.
Willian Pacho (7,5) – He was a rock on Angevins’ rare opportunities. No mistakes with the ball. But few attempts. Replaced by Nuno Mendes in the 62nd minute.
Lucas Hernandez (6) – In a more defensive role than Hakimi on the other side, he was fairly calm and aggressive. He set up Kvaratskhelia for the cross that opened the scoring.
Midfield –
Fabian Ruiz (6) – A couple of fine passes, he continues to provide balance, even if we’d like him to be more incisive at times. Replaced in the 62nd minute by Bradley Barcola.
Vitinha (7) – A metronome in midfield, he kept the ball moving and created a number of chances without ever forgetting to press.
Warren Zaïre-Emery (6) – Always clean, always aggressive at the back, he also lacked creativity and initiative when approaching the opponent’s box. Replaced by Senny Mayulu in the 88th minute.
Attackers –
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (6,5) – A few misses, but he’s also a creator of chances and was the decisive passer of a fine cross for the opening goal;
Gonçalo Ramos (4) – Appreciable calls and passes, but he also missed the target on the opportunities available. No disgraceful miss, except that he was expected to make the difference. Replaced by Ousmane Dembélé in the 62nd minute.
Désiré Doué (7) – Brought a touch of madness to a PSG side that was mainly in control and sometimes a little short of ideas. Opened the scoring with a fine volley. Replaced by João Neves in the 66th minute.
Coach –
Luis Enrique (6) – A quiet, well-managed match. Perhaps he would have liked a bit more pace, but that’s not certain. Angers played very poorly, and PSG had to be sure of their place in Wednesday’s Champions League quarter-final first leg against Aston Villa.
