This Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain take on Aston Villa at the Parc des Princes in the quarter-finals of the Champions League 2024-2025 (kick-off 9pm, CET). Paris coach Luis Enrique must choose his starting 11, taking into account the opponent, upcoming matches and suspension risks, after having formed the Parisian squad for this match.
It’s always hard to guess exactly which team Luis Enrique will choose. Even if there is a backbone that seems fairly clear. The doubts lie mainly in attack.
Ousmane Dembélé will undoubtedly start, but on the right or in the middle? That goes with the other hesitations: Désiré Doué, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Bradley Barcola and Gonçalo Ramos. The former could start in midfield, although that would be a bit of a surprise.
At the moment, we have a feeling that the 3rd place alongside João Neves and Warren Zaïre-Emery is up for grabs between Fabian Ruiz and Warren Zaïre-Emery. Although the Spanish coach could well surprise us.
Possible line-up :
Kvaratskhelia – Dembélé – Doué
Ruiz – Vitinha – Neves
Mendes – Pacho – Beraldo – Hakimi
Donnarumma
Substitutes – Safonov, Tenas, Hernandez, Kimpembe, Mayulu, Zaïre-Emery, Barcola, Lee, Mbaye, Ramos.
Out – Marquinhos (suspension), El Hannach, Tape, Zague (choice).
Possible suspension for yellow card:
PSG : Fabian Ruiz.
Aston Villa : Lucas Digne, Axel Disasi, Bouba Kamara et Marcus Rashford.
This would be effective for the second leg of the quarter-final on April 15.
