This Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain (19th) take on Atlético de Madrid (27th) at the Parc des Princes for Matchday 4 of the 2024-2025 Champions League phase (kick-off 9pm, broadcast on Canal+). On the eve of the match, L’ Equipe and Le Parisien have put forward a likely Parisian line-up.
Barcola – Asensio or Lee – Dembélé
Neves – Vitinha – Zaïre-Emery
Mendes – Pacho – Marquinhos – Hakimi
Donnarumma.
That’s the general idea behind the latest line-up, with the standard line-up taking shape, but also a doubtful 9. Or rather a false 9. Asensio and Lee know how to get off the mark to take part in the game and serve the others, and each has a fine left foot for striking as well. The former has more experience and size, the latter more vivacity and madness.
For the moment, it’s hard to be certain, but we’re hoping that Gonçalo Ramos (23) will soon be ready to add to the uncertainty. For the time being, however, we remain cautious about the starting eleven, despite coach Luis Enrique’s ability to surprise. The attacking axis is not necessarily the only position where questions are being asked.
