This Sunday, Paris Saint-Germain take on Atlético de Madrid at the Rose Bowl Stadium for Matchday 1 of the group phase of the 2025 Club World Cup (kick-off 9pm, CET). Le Parisien reports that 3 PSG players have been spared training this Wednesday.
“Ousmane Dembélé, who has injured his left quadriceps and is very likely to miss all three group matches, stayed in the gym for the time being before doing a few laps of the pitch.
Bradley Barcola, who suffered a knee injury with Les Bleus, and Gabriel Moscardo, a surprise guest on this trip to the U.S., also trained separately.”
There are no surprises for Ousmane Dembélé (28-year-old striker), unfortunately. It would be more the case if he was quickly with the group. Even if there is hope, since the length of his absence has only been announced in the media and is therefore not certain. We’re still waiting to find out exactly when he’ll be back.
It should be quicker for Bradley Barcola (22-year-old striker) and Gabriel Moscardo (19-year-old midfielder). We’re particularly hoping for the latter, who must take advantage of this competition, both on a day-to-day basis and in matches, to score points.
It should be noted that Gianluigi Donnarumma, Lucas Beraldo, Marquinhos, Willian Pacho and Kang-in Lee, who had a later game in the squad than their team-mates, will not be joining the group until Thursday.
