The final day of Ligue 1 this season saw Paris Saint-Germain host AJ Auxerre at the Parc des Princes. And despite conceding the opening goal, the Rouge et Bleu once again showed their seriousness right up to the end of the match, beating AJA 3-1 (PSG/Auxerre video highlights). Gaëtan Perrin, the young Auxerre striker, spoke to DAZN about Paris’ superiority and their Champions League final:
Perrin: “They’ve really shown impressive collective strength this season”.
Was it too hard in the second half against PSG?
First of all, I’d like to highlight the team’s performance over a full season. It’s not easy to be consistent throughout the season. We showed great things and great values. We’re proud of the team. It’s the end of the season and we played a very, very good first half at a very good level, because we’d come here to annoy them.
Now we’ll be able to turn our attention to the rest of the season and take advantage of the vacations to recuperate. We’ll be keeping an eye on PSG as the season draws to a close.
Would you like PSG to win the Champions League?
Of course, they’ve shown an impressive collective strength this season. I think they deserve to finish on a high.
