This Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain take on Bayern Munich at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Club World Cup (kick-off 6pm CET, broadcast on DAZN). This Wednesday, Le Parisien gave an update on training.
“Only Presnel Kimpembe and Gabriel Moscardo were missing from the first 15 minutes open to the press. The French defender has been out of the squad for almost a week, suffering from a sole injury.
Unfortunately, the PSG infirmary is not empty, even if these are not the most penalizing absences possible. Those who usually get some playing time are here, and that’s encouraging for this match and the rest of the competition.
On the other hand, it’s a real shame for Kimpembe and Moscardo. They could have hoped to glean opportunities and pace from this competition. Whether it be to gain space in Paris or options. But they’re missing out, and what happens next remains very unclear.
