This Friday at 3am French time, Paris Saint-Germain take on Brazilian club Botafogo in the Club World Cup. Speaking to PSG TV, Gianluigi Donnarumma, PSG’s 26-year-old goalkeeper, spoke about the match and its importance following the 4-0 opening-day victory over Atletico Madrid.
Donnarumma “We need everyone to be at 100%, those playing as well as those on the bench.”
“We’re at 100% to play this game, everyone knows it’s a very important match. We need to win, pick up the three points and keep going in the right direction. The team is in good spirits, playing well and that’s very important, it’s the main key.”
How do you see this encounter against a legendary team like Botafogo?
“Everyone knows that Botafogo are a historic team who play well. They’re a Brazilian team and we know it’s going to be tough. We have players with a lot of quality and we need to prepare well for this match. We need everyone to be at 100%, both those playing and those on the bench.”
Is the presence of the fans important for you too?
“Yes, everyone knows that having the fans with us is something fantastic. We have magical supporters, who are always behind us, in every stadium in the world and that’s very important.”
