On the sidelines of the press conference held on Thursday to discuss tomorrow’s Club World Cup Round 2 match against Botafogo at Rose Bowl Stadium (kick-off 3am, broadcast on DAZN), Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Fabian Ruiz (29) was interviewed by PSG TV. The interview was an opportunity to discuss the team’s approach to the match and their expectations for it.
Ruiz: “The same dynamic as always”.
How are you preparing for the match?
With the same dynamic as always. We haven’t changed a thing. That’s what’s important, not to change anything and to prepare well.
A word about Botafogo?
We know that South American teams are intense, aggressive and play well. They won the Copa Libertadores. They’re a great team. It’ll be a tough game, but it’s important for us to go out and win.
Ruiz “they’re a very physical and aggressive team.”
In the mixed zone, Fabian Ruiz made similar comments:
We know it’s going to be very difficult, they’re a very physical and aggressive team. But we have an idea of how to play, we’ve shown it all season and I don’t think we need to change anything.
We have to concentrate on ourselves, on what we do, on what the coach asks us to do, and I think that will be the case tomorrow.
