Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Paris Saint-Germain’s 20-year-old midfielder, spoke to Sky Sport Italia on Wednesday ahead of the Champions League final against Inter Milan at the Allianz Arena on May 31 (CET).
Kvaratskhelia “It’s been a very long road, littered with obstacles that I’ve overcome”.
“I’m happy to be here and to have this opportunity, it’s like a dream. It’s been a very long journey, littered with obstacles that I’ve overcome.
I’ll always carry Georgia with me, she’s given me everything and I’m very proud to be proud. I want to help my country, because it’s difficult for us to reach this level.
Kvaratskhelia “I don’t think Luis Enrique needs my help”.
Can I give some advice because I played against Inter?
I don’t think Luis Enrique needs my help, they’re better than me. I can say something because I’ve often played there, I know how strong they are. If they need me, I’ll say something. We’re all in this together.”
He has never stopped raving about PSG, and in 9 days’ time, he could already be turning the page in the club’s history with the Champions League final in Munich. To do so, they will have to overcome the Milanese obstacle that lies ahead.
This is a difficult team to read, with so many different qualities and ways of adapting to their opponents. Kvaratskhelia knows the club well, having played for Napoli in recent years. Will Luis Enrique need any advice? It’s unlikely, given Inter Milan’s reputation as a great team. We can’t wait for the game to start and, why not, for the Georgian to strike a blow on the Munich turf.
