This Saturday, in the final of the Champions League 2024-2025, Paris Saint-Germain faced Inter Milan at Munich’s Allianz Arena. The Rouge et Bleu put in a monstrous performance to win 5-0. Here are our scores for the Parisians.
Goalkeeper –
Gianluigi Donnarumma (8) – A quiet first half. Not much to say as Inter Milan could do nothing in this match.
Defenders –
Achraf Hakimi (8) – First goalscorer in a final, that’s saying something. He gave his all in the first half as always.
Marquinhos (8) – Inhabited, he set the tone in the first half. Aggressive in the good sense of the word, he pushed his team to play up high.
Willian Pacho (8) – Intractable in duels, he’s there, he hurts. Good first half.
Nuno Mendes (8) – Not the best on the pitch in the first half, but he battled all the way through with a sore hip. He did the defensive work. He held his ground and, in the end, his game was great. Never in danger. Replaced in the 78th minute by Lucas Hernandez.
Midfielders –
Joao Neves (8) – Always present in the middle, raking in the ball. Technically very clean, he was PSG’s playmaker in the first half. His season and final should also be remembered. Incredible. Replaced by Warren Zaïre-Emery in the 84th minute.
Vitinha (9) – His penultimate pass for Hakimi’s goal was magnificent. He played well and lost very little of the ball. His pace was well followed by his partners. He slowed the game down when he had to, and sped it up when the game called for it. Great first half. It was he who set up Doué for his second goal. He was everywhere.
Fabian Ruiz (8) – We don’t say it enough, but if you look at him, you can see great qualities in this player. He gets in between the lines, he occupies the space he needs, he’s out in front making calls, he’s out in back picking up the ball. His first performance was outstanding. A great finish from him. His end to the season is admirable. Replaced by Gonçalo Ramos in the 84th minute.
Forwards –
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (8) – A decent first half. He was the Parisian who had the most trouble. His second half was much more consistent and his goal also contributed to the Parisian masterpiece. Replaced by Senny Mayulu in the 84th minute.
Ousmane Dembélé (9) – An unbelievable presser, he was the leader who made Inter Milan doubt from the start. He annihilated Sommer’s footwork. He wasn’t overly inspired in front of goal, but he had a lot to do with Doué’s second goal. His back-heel on Doué’s second goal, in the direction of play, was magnificent.
Désiré Doué (10) – This player has something extra, and he shows it in every match. A starter at 19, he showed all his talent. His goal was well deserved and his assist incredible, particularly in the way he took the ball away from himself. His second goal, like a symbol, a great match on his part. A great final. Replaced by Bradley Barcola in the 67th minute.
Coach –
Luis Enrique (8) – Forever the first! This coach revolutionized PSG, and will forever be remembered as the man who brought the most prestigious of European cups to Paris. His team’s final once again showed his mastery of his subject. A great match. Thank you Luis Enrique.
