Paris Saint-Germain played host to AS Monaco on Friday evening, on the 21st day of Ligue1. The match kicked off with the announcement that 7 of the Parisians, including the coach, had signed extensions. And it was after an intense match that the Rouge et Bleu beat the Monegasques 4-1 (PSG/Monaco video highlights), who were outclassed when Paris accelerated. ASM central defender Christian Mawissa spoke to DAZN after the match to express his frustration.

Mawissa: “Paris came back with different ambitions…”

What’s the prevailing feeling after this defeat?

We regret it because we came here with a lot of ambition. Taking this score here hurts. We’ve got an important game coming up against Benfica and we need to get our act together. We need to move on.

What happened in the second half?

I’d like to tell you, that’s soccer, that’s the way it is. Paris came back with different ambitions, they wanted to be more attacking and score goals. That’s just the way it is.
