Paris Saint-Germain hosted AS Monaco on Friday evening for the 21st day of Ligue 1, just minutes after announcing the official extension of 7 Parisians, including coach Luis Enrique. It was in a white-hot Parc des Princes that the Rouge et Bleu took on ASM, and it was a very intense match in which the players from the capital won 4-1 (PSG/Monaco video highlights). Adi Hütter, the principality’s coach, took time out to ask DAZN questions after the match:
Hütter: “I think we lost the game in the first half”
What an intense match – how do you feel?
After a defeat, it’s always disappointing. I think we lost the game in the first half. We missed too many chances. Especially before Vitinha’s first goal. We missed too many chances and in the second half, they showed in just a few minutes just how strong they are. It was very hard for us. We’re disappointed with the scoreline.
«PSG deserved victory “
What happened at the start of the second half?
We conceded two goals in 5 minutes. We had possession of the ball and we lost it. You can see the quality of PSG at the moment. Offensively, they have some fantastic players. They were fantastic and when Kvara scored his goal, a few minutes later there was the 3rd goal. The game was over.
We didn’t give up and we fought right to the end, and the last goal at the end was a little too much, but PSG’s victory is deserved. When it comes to this performance, there’s no reason to be so disappointed.
Are you lacking a little maturity?
Yes and no, today it wasn’t necessarily the young players, for me there’s no one player who’s guilty. We all win and lose together. We all fought together, but right now PSG are at another level. I wish them luck in the Champions League and Luis Enrique is a very good coach, so they’ll be very hard to beat. They’re very strong.
