This Sunday, Paris Saint-Germain take on Monaco at Stadium 974 for the Trophée des Champions 2024 (kick-off 5.30pm, broadcast on DAZN). For the occasion, the Parisian club has unveiled flocking in Arabic script for the players’ names. This is a first in the history of the Parisian club.
“On the occasion of the Visit Qatar Champions Trophy to be held in Doha this Sunday, the PSG is unveiling a unique collector’s flock marked by a first: the use of Arabic script on the home jersey worn by the players.”
It’s a marketing stunt that PSG is repeating. Paris is represented by Qatar Sport Investissement and the Champions Trophy takes place in Doha, which explains the exceptional flocking, in Arabic for this match.
This will make the jersey a collector’s item and another good reason to sell its products, but also to further establish itself in the Arab world. It also makes the jersey very classy and original. A great idea.
