This Sunday, Paris Saint-Germain take on Monaco at Stadium 974 for the Trophée des Champions 2024 (kick-off 5.30pm, broadcast on DAZN in France). This Wednesday, Le Parisien reported that Milan Skriniar (29-year-old defender) will be in the squad, although his departure has not yet been finalized.
“Milan Skriniar is due to leave with the squad tomorrow for the mini-tour of Qatar. Paris is looking for a way out, and the Slovakian is still undecided about his future.”
This may come as a surprise, as it’s quite clear that coach Luis Enrique isn’t really counting on Skriniar. But Skriniar may have been in the squad when there was an absence, and it may be preferable for him to be present just in case. And let’s not forget that his departure is far from a foregone conclusion, as negotiations are still ongoing. But let’s wait for the official announcement here.
