On Sunday at Stadium 974, Paris Saint-Germain beat Monaco 1-0 in the Champions Trophy 2024 (PSG/Monaco video summary). We then asked our readers, as they do after every match from now on, to vote for the best Parisian of the match. Ousmane Dembélé (27-year-old striker) came out on top.
A victory that’s hardly surprising, given that Dembélé created a number of chances and scored the decisive goal. Although he also made a few misses, and his goal wasn’t exactly impressive. But it certainly left its mark.
Achraf Hakimi (26-year-old right-back) was also a fine candidate, with another all-round performance. Nor are we surprised to see Désiré Doué (19-year-old midfielder/attacker), Vitinha (24-year-old midfielder) or Gianluigi Donnarumma (25-year-old goalkeeper). Donnarumma is low in the voting after some fine saves.
Above all, we’re delighted to see the year 2025 get off to a great start, with a very interesting collective performance and a number of individuals to highlight for the positive.
