After a fantastic victory in the Champions League, Paris Saint-Germain welcomed Stade de Reims to the Parc des Princes on Saturday evening, for the 19th day of Ligue1. The Rémois put on a show and came away with a draw, 1-1 at the final whistle (video highlights PSG/Reims). Valentin Atangana Edoa, midfielder for the red-and-whites, spoke to DAZN about the result:
Atangana: “We knew we weren’t going to have the ball much”.
Was solidarity the watchword today?
Yes, solidarity is important. It was a tough game, and we knew we weren’t going to have the ball much. We played with a low block and the tactic was to go on the counter-attack.
Was it a big game for you as a central defender?
Yes, it’s experience. When I was younger, I played all over the place. That’s what enabled me to be so good today.
