Vitinha, the 26-year-old Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, spoke to M6 after the penalty shootout victory (1-1 in regulation time, 4-3 on penalties) against Arsenal this Saturday at the Puskás Arena in Budapest in the 2025-2026 Champions League final.
Vitinha: “I’m really happy, not just because we won.”
What’s going through your mind?
I don’t know what to say. I’m really happy, not just because we won, but because of the group we have, the substitutes who came on and took the decisive penalties. It’s really difficult. There’s the whole group, the coach, the president, the sporting director… I think we really, really deserved this. We’re really happy.
Vitinha: “You can feel the joy of playing.”
What’s the team’s secret? Luis Enrique?
Being humble is something we’re all like. We give our all for each other. Everyone defends, everyone attacks. We feel the joy of playing, and we have to keep going.
