Luis Enrique, coach of Paris Saint-Germain (1st), held a press conference this Friday ahead of facing Nice (8th) at the Parc des Princes tomorrow (kick-off at 5 pm, CET) for Matchday 11 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season. Following this event, the Spaniard also spoke to PSG TV.
Luis Enrique: “I was frustrated feeling I could have helped the team a bit more.”
You said it would be tough against Lorient, what’s your analysis?
It’s a typical match in our schedule. Honestly, before the match you know it’s going to be very difficult to manage. That’s normal. We prepared for the match, I’m happy with the attitude. But it was a bad match for me. I was frustrated feeling I could have helped the team a bit more. That’s the feeling we had in the staff.
Luis Enrique: “They’re used to winning at the Parc des Princes, it’s rare to say that.”
Do these Ligue 1 matches help fine-tune things to prepare for the Champions League?
Of course. Everyone’s thinking about Bayern Munich, we’re looking for comparisons in our play with our opponents to see what we need to work on. But we also have to think about Nice, against whom we had disastrous results. They’re used to winning at the Parc des Princes, it’s rare to say that. That should be a motivation for our players, to prepare in the best possible way.
What can we expect from the players?
Two years ago, the coach was Farioli. Now it’s Franck Haise. They can remember some very good things we’ve done. We’ll be looking to be ready and improve our performance to win the match.
