A change of plan for Paris Saint-Germain’s first home European match. As announced by PSG on its official website, the Paris Saint-Germain vs. OH Leuven fixture—originally scheduled for Thursday, October 1 at 9:00 PM—will now take place at the PSG Campus in Poissy rather than at the Parc des Princes.
A change of venue for Paris vs. OH Leuven
“Originally scheduled for Thursday, October 1 at 9:00 PM at the Parc des Princes, the match will now be played at the PSG Campus in Poissy.
Due to operational constraints preventing the match from being held at the Parc des Princes, the PSG Campus will host the Parisian team’s first European game. The site meets all UEFA requirements regarding hosting and match organization.”
The change therefore applies only to the venue of this first home European match. Paris Saint-Germain did not specify the nature of the “operational constraints” mentioned but noted that its training center is certified to host the match in accordance with UEFA requirements.
Parc des Princes still scheduled for upcoming fixtures
“The Parc des Princes will host the women’s team’s subsequent European matches—against Bayern Munich on Tuesday, November 10, and Juventus on Wednesday, December 16—as well as the league match against Olympique Lyonnais on Saturday, October 17.”
This does not mean the Parisian team is abandoning the Parc des Princes. The club is maintaining plans to host several major matches at the stadium, notably the European home games against Bayern Munich and Juventus. The big league clash against OL Lyonnes is also set to be played there.
