Paris Saint-Germain won (2-2, then 4-3 on penalties) against Tottenham this Wednesday at the Bluenergy Stadium in Udine as part of the 2025 European Super Cup. After the match, Parisian striker Bradley Barcola (22) spoke to beIN SPORTS.
Barcola “as usual, we managed to pick ourselves up and win this match.”
A comeback after a difficult start?
It’s true that we started off rather poorly. We conceded those two goals, and it hurt a little. But, as usual, we managed to bounce back and win this match.
Important for Chevalier?
It was especially important to keep him comfortable throughout the week, to show him the confidence we had in him. Today, the fact that he saved that penalty makes us happy.
Barcola: “We had good instructions from the coach.”
Special preparation?
During the holidays, we were able to have a program to work a little. When we returned, we did very well. The coach was happy with us, and it showed on the pitch today.
What made the difference?
The difference, I think, was more our state of mind. It’s true that we were still good with the ball, but without it, we struggled a little. In the second half, we were able to pick ourselves up, we had good instructions from the coach and I think it did us good to speak with the coach at half-time, it got us back into it.
