On Wednesday at the Bluenergy Stadium in Udine, Paris Saint-Germain claimed victory in the opening match of the 2025 UEFA Super Cup against Tottenham, finishing 2-2 before winning 4-3 on penalties (PSG/Tottenham video highlights). As we now do after every match, we asked our readers to vote for PSG’s best player of the game. The winner was 28-year-old forward Ousmane Dembélé.
It wasn’t necessarily an easy win for him, as Dembélé also faced some difficulties during the match. However, he created chances and delivered the decisive cross for the last-minute equalizer.
Bradley Barcola (22-year-old forward) was another strong contender, showing plenty of promise, though perhaps lacking a bit of precision. He was also substituted before the comeback began. Notably, 23-year-old goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier made the podium in his debut, despite both the team and individuals still being far from their best.
