Ilya Zabarnyi, a 24-year-old defender for Paris Saint-Germain, spoke to Ligue1+ following PSG’s 1-0 victory over Troyes (see video highlights of PSG vs. Troyes) this Saturday at the Parc des Princes, as part of the 10th matchday of the 2026-2027 Ligue 1 season.
Zabarnyi: “I need to try to do better”
You scored and kept a clean sheet—was it a good night?
Yes, it’s great to score; it’s great for the team. I need to try to do better. And the three points—that’s what’s important.
Are you the man of the match?
It’s certainly nice, but now I have to keep working, and I hope to get even more playing time.
