This Saturday, as part of Matchday 27 of Ligue 1 2024-2025, Paris Saint-Germain (1st) take on Saint-Etienne (17th) at Stade Geoffroy Guichard (kick-off 7pm, UTC+1). On the eve of the match, the press tried to guess the team that will be fielded by Paris coach Luis Enrique.
Le Parisien (4-3-3) –
Kvaratskhelia – Ramos – Barcola
Doué – Ruiz – Neves
Mendes – Hernandez – Beraldo – Zaïre-Emery
Donnarumma
L’Equipe (4-3-3) –
Barcola – Dembélé – Kvaratskhelia
Neves – Vitinha – Zaïre-Emery
Mendes – Pacho – Beraldo – Hakimi
Donnarumma
Given the squad (Senny Mayulu is suspended, as is Lee Kang-In), every team seems possible, even if there is some doubt about Achraf Hakimi, absent from training yesterday for a personal reason and announced as returning to training on Sunday. In any case, we’re always cautious with Luis Enrique, who knows how to surprise and never lets information slip to the press. There are different options with a strong collective, healthy competition and position changes.
We can assume that the international break will count for something, between different trips and game time. And let’s not forget the rotation planned over the week, so that we arrive in top form on April 9 for the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Aston Villa.
This Saturday evening, we can expect to see Lucas Hernandez and Lucas Beraldo start, as they have not played for the national team (the latter travelled for Brazil’s second match to replace an injury, but did not take part).
