This Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain (1st) take on Saint-Etienne (17th) at the Stade Geoffroy Guichard for the 27th day of Ligue 1 2024-2025 (kick-off 7pm, UTC+1). Paris coach Luis Enrique must choose his starting 11, taking into account the opponent, upcoming matches and suspension risks, after having formed the Parisian squad for this match.
It’s hard to know exactly which team Luis Enrique will field. The end of the winter break has to be taken into account, although we don’t know the exact impact on the players in terms of travel, playing time and recovery capacity.
There is also undoubtedly a plan in place to manage the squad over the full week, so that we arrive in the best possible shape for the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Aston Villa on April 9.
We can simply try to find the right mix of rest, rhythm and players to concern ourselves with going forward.
Possible line-up:
Kvaratkshelia – Ramos – Barcola
Doué – Vitinha – Neves
Hernandez – Pacho – Beraldo – Zaïre-Emery
Donnarumma
Substitutes – Safonov, Mouquet, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Ruiz, Dembélé, Mbaye.
Possible suspension for yellow card: Achraf Hakimi.
This would be effective from Tuesday April 8, i.e. against Le Havre on April 19 for the 30th day of Ligue 1.
