Gianluigi Donnarumma was sent off in the 17th minute following a dangerous foul by Wilfried Singo, but was unable to take part in Paris Saint-Germain’s fine victory at the Stade Louis II (2-4, advanced match of Ligue 1 matchday 16). Just after the match, the two men shared a moment that took some of the tension away.
Singo didn’t hesitate to ask about the keeper, who seemed to be smiling and didn’t seem to hold a grudge against him for his ill-handled gesture.
It’s a beautiful image, with players who stay calm and know that accidents can happen. Even if, of course, you have to limit them as much as possible by being careful. Incidentally, this does not erase the fact that Singo should have taken the red, and the player seems to be aware of this. But this is the right reaction. Let’s hope the referee is up to the task next time too.
