This Saturday evening at the Stade de la Meinau, RC Strasbourg hosted Paris Saint-Germain for the 7th matchday of Ligue 1. Luis Enrique’s side took to the pitch with a heavily rotated squad, designed to give players some much-needed rest. After conceding the opening goal early on, the Parisians—aided by second-half substitutions—eventually secured a 3–1 victory (video highlights: Strasbourg vs. PSG). Speaking to Ligue1 Plus, RCSA defender Jeyland Mitchell reflected on the home defeat:
Jeyland Mitchell: “I think the opposing team is stronger.”
Did you struggle during the final minutes?
It was difficult. I think the opposing team is stronger; we want to keep working hard and continue striving for wins.
You showed some positive signs, didn’t you?
We are doing what the coach asks of us, but we must keep working in this manner. I believe this team will only get better moving forward.
