This Saturday, as part of the 7th matchday of the 2026-2027 Ligue 1 season, Paris Saint-Germain faced Strasbourg at the Stade de la Meinau. Giovanni Reyna, the 23-year-old attacking midfielder for the Strasbourg side, spoke to Ligue1+ following the 1-3 victory for Paris.
Reyna: “They have been the best team in the world for the past two years.”
You showed a lot against this Paris Saint-Germain side, didn’t you?
As you said, in the end, we lost. They have been the best team in the world for the past two years. We knew that winning this match wouldn’t be easy, but we showed a lot of positive things today. We should be proud of ourselves. Now, we need to look ahead to the next match.
What was missing for you today?
To be honest, I don’t think anything was missing. It’s just the quality of the players on the other side—guys like Dembélé and Doué. Perhaps we could have been more clinical. But as I said, we need to take the positives, and I’m sure we’ll win matches.
