Here’s our saga. The 5 good reasons to follow a match (with some adaptations). We’ll take a look at what’s attractive before each match, with a mix of seriousness and humor. Mind you, this is by no means an exhaustive tour of the subject. We continue here with Paris Saint-Germain’s match this Saturday against Bayern Munich at Mercedes-Benz Stadium as part of the quarter-finals of the 2025 Club World Cup (kick-off 6pm CET, broadcast on DAZN).
5 – A great spectacle to look forward to.
Bayern Munich and PSG are particularly strong in attack, so we’re hoping for a good show. Even if both teams are tired at the end of the season. It’s never that simple. Bayern Munich’s 1-0 victory in the league phase of the Champions League was largely decided in midfield.
4 – Dembélé fully ready?
Ousmane Dembélé (28-year-old striker) returned from injury against Inter Miami and played relatively “quietly”. Can he step up a gear for this match? We hope so. His creativity can only help. At the very least, he should be able to step up a gear.
3 – Watch out for the break coming up.
If PSG go all the way, there’s just one more week of matches. If not, it could end on Wednesday, or tonight. It’s often said that the players are overloaded, but we’re getting used to seeing our Parisians on a regular basis. Now that the vacations are approaching, we know we’re going to miss Paris very quickly. We’ve got to enjoy it while it lasts.
2 – We’re hoping for further confirmation.
PSG have become an impressive and seductive team. A defeat wouldn’t call everything into question. But we’re still hoping to see them keep up the momentum, and Bayern Munich is a fine challenge. We’ll need another great performance to move forward.
1 – The title is getting closer.
The hope of another title, in order to win it all this season, is taking shape with each passing match. We “only” need 3 more wins. Hopefully, PSG will be able to continue their run and have an even more memorable year.
