Ilya Zabarnyi, the 22-year-old central defender from Bournemouth (contract until 2028) and Ukraine, has been announced as a defensive priority for Paris Saint-Germain for the transfer window. There is even talk of progress towards a transfer to PSG. Journalist Abdellah Boulma announced this Saturday that the official outcome should be within the next week.
“Zabarnyi
Everything seems to be in place for Zabarnyi to join PSG. The outcome is expected next week.”
We’re remaining cautious; there’s nothing official yet. But this is a reliable journalist, and the second to say that Zabarnyi’s arrival is generally agreed upon. There’s at least reason to be optimistic, after long weeks of waiting. The Ukrainian defender would be the first big signing of the summer, for around €65-70 million, with a place to be filled in the defensive line over the next few years. But he also already has some great qualities to help the Parisian team achieve another great season.
