Mika Godts—a 21-year-old forward (primarily a left winger) for Ajax Amsterdam (under contract until 2029) and the Belgian national team, coming off an excellent season—is a target for Paris Saint-Germain (as confirmed by both his agent and the Dutch club). Following an initial wave of announcements, journalists Abdellah Boulma and Adrien Chantegrelet (Le Parisien), along with the newspaper L’Équipe, have confirmed that an agreement between PSG and the Dutch club is in place.
Abdellah Boulma:
Agreement all but finalized between Ajax and PSG for the transfer of Mika Godts. 🇧🇪
Deal being finalized. The Belgian winger is now awaiting the green light from the Dutch club to head to Paris.
Adrien Chantegrelet:
PSG and Ajax have reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Mika Godts. The Belgian is set to sign a five-year deal with the Parisian club.
L’Équipe:
“As announced by Fabrizio Romano and confirmed by us, PSG reached an agreement with Ajax this Friday—involving a fee estimated at €55 million—to bring the 21-year-old Belgian winger to the French capital.”
With numerous media outlets and journalists reporting the same information regarding both the agreement and the price, the signs for the transfer are very promising. That said, massive surprises can happen. We are still waiting for concrete confirmation to be absolutely certain, but there is little doubt; the mood is optimistic.
PSG is expected to finalize the signing of this highly talented player very soon. He would be a valuable addition to the Paris squad, boasting an impressive ability to create chances through both dribbling and passing. The Belgian is also clinical in front of goal—a significant asset. Of course, he would still need to prove himself within the demanding environment at Paris.
However, Godts appears to have all the right qualities; Paris is not making a random move here. Furthermore, he would be well-supported within the squad led by coach Luis Enrique, allowing him to continue his development.
