Randal Kolo Muani, the 27-year-old French national team forward who was struggling at Paris Saint-Germain (under contract until 2028), was loaned to Tottenham for the 2025-2026 season without an option to buy, after an agreement with Juventus (where he had been on loan from January to June 2026) proved impossible. His future is now uncertain, though the Italian club is reportedly working on his transfer again. Speaking to Sky Sport, CEO Giovanni Carnevali addressed the rumors.
“We are currently rebuilding our relationship with PSG.”
“He is a potential option, as he has been a topic of discussion for a long time. You are well aware that there were difficulties in the past; we are therefore rebuilding our relationship with PSG and advancing certain discussions, but the conditions must be appropriate and acceptable.
We will then need to finalize the deal, because—as you know—bringing these negotiations to a successful conclusion is never easy. One thing is certain: we have a clear vision; we know what we want to do and where we want to go.”
These are strong statements that temper the notion of a transfer being all but wrapped up following today’s meeting. The prevailing sentiment is that discussions have simply been revived following changes in the Turin club’s management. While an agreement for Kolo Muani’s transfer remains a possibility, it is far from a done deal.
We will have to wait and see how the negotiations unfold. There is a risk of a drawn-out saga with an uncertain outcome—hardly an ideal situation for Kolo Muani, who finds himself stuck once again, given that it would be surprising for him to suddenly find a spot for himself at PSG.
