Yan Diomande, the 19-year-old RB Leipzig and Ivory Coast winger (under contract until 2030), has been linked with a move to the Ivory Coast international, attracting interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain. Journalist Ben Jacobs has provided an update on the situation, with Liverpool making him a priority but potentially also targeting Bradley Barcola (the 23-year-old PSG forward). Manchester United are also in the running for the Ivory Coast international.
Key to any deal will be Leipzig’s asking price, which is currently at around €100m.
Yan Diomande remains a leading target for Liverpool, as reported in April.
PSG are also considering a move, while the Leipzig winger is on Manchester United’s list of options as well.
Liverpool view Diomande as a strong fit, and capable of playing both sides.
Key to any deal will be Leipzig’s asking price, which is currently at around €100m. Leipzig would ideally like Diomande to sign a new deal, but haven’t discounted a sale.
“Bradley Barcola another target if PSG open to the door to an exit. “
Bradley Barcola another target if PSG open to the door to an exit. Not a given, but PSG stance could soften if they find a replacement.
Liverpool have a historical interest in Anthony Gordon, who almost joined in summer 2024, but it is Bayern who remain in talks. Arsenal another club who appreciate Gordon.
As revealed in March, Liverpool are likely to sign either two wingers, or one and a more versatile attacker.”
Like other transfer sagas, rumors are swirling without anything concrete. Diomande is a huge talent and could well attract the biggest clubs in Europe, including PSG and Liverpool, where an attacking reinforcement could make sense. However, there’s no evidence to suggest a favorite or that an agreement is in the works.
As for Barcola, Liverpool have also been linked with him for some time, but there has never been any confirmation. For now, the striker could very well extend his contract in Paris. But a departure cannot be ruled out. Diomande would then be a perfectly sensible replacement. Above all, we urge caution while awaiting concrete information.
