Having arrived in the 2023 summer mercato from Inter Milan, 30-year-old defender Milan Skriniar has not made the move to Paris Saint-Germain. His contract expires in June 2028, and he has been loaned out to Fenerbahçe for the second half of the 2024-2025 season. He has bounced back well and there has been talk of a permanent move to the Turkish club this summer. This Monday, journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that the club is pushing to complete this transfer after that of 21-year-old striker Jhon Duran.
A completely credible announcement, with a transfer already mentioned for some time in numerous media and confirmation here from a generally reliable journalist. We remain cautious, however, as nothing has yet been done. Soccer knows how to surprise, especially at the mercato.
So we’ll have to wait and see. However, the club and Skriniar have already expressed their desire to continue working together, and it would be surprising if there were a stalemate with PSG. Let’s hope that the outcome is close at hand, so that at least one case is settled.
