Ilya Zabarnyi, a 22-year-old center back for Bournemouth (under contract until 2028) and Ukraine, has been announced as a defensive priority for Paris Saint-Germain in the transfer window. There is even talk of progress toward a transfer to PSG. Journalist Nicolò Schira reported today that an agreement between the two clubs has been reached.
We remain cautious, as this journalist sometimes jumps the gun a little, even if he is relatively reliable. Above all, there has not yet been any confirmation of this agreement. There is usually a flurry of statements when such an important deal is finalized. However, it is not unthinkable that PSG and Bournemouth will reach an agreement.
There is hope that Zabarnyi will be present when PSG resumes training on Wednesday, August 6. But it is not yet a done deal, so let’s remain cautious.
